Mirai Oosawa / 大澤 未来
Born in Tokyo in 1981. He started producing documentary films while he was a student at Eigabi School, and his “Homecoming-Days spent with Shinsuke Ogawa-“, which he produced as a director while he was a student, was selected for screening at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival 2005. Shinsuke Ogawa is a documentary filmmaker known for taking pictures while staying in close contact with the subject of coverage for a long period of time. In the process of producing this work, he began to narrow down his theme to folk performing arts, customs, and customs.
In the director’s work “Horse and Human” released in 2013, in collaboration with the artist unit KOSUGE1-16, he is working on poetic installation expressions that go beyond documentary images.
The “Mari Kagura” released in 2017 covers the Mainichi Film Awards documentary about Mawari Kagura, which has been handed down for more than 340 years despite being affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and changes in the modern social structure. It won the Film Award and was screened at the Japan Film Festival “Nippon Connection 2019” in Frankfurt, Germany.
Currently, he participates in the “Marylka Project”, a project that traces the past of Jewish refugees who traveled from Poland to Japan and Shanghai during World War II to Australia, and is producing video works.
